Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, The Plant Powered Community will be suspended until the Covid 19 Virus is under control and public meetings, once again, become safe.
The Plant Powered Community is facilitated by the PPC Lifestyle Team consisting of doctors, health instructors, dietitians, counselors, nurses, and good cooks, all focused on opening people's eyes to the world of healthy eating, building experiences, confidence and skill, providing tools and training, answering challenging how-to questions, keeping people motivated and excited to continue pursuing...
...the Adventure of Maximum Health.
The Plant Powered Community is designed to facilitate the needs of people as they transition to a whole foods, plant-based diet. It's a weekly gathering of people who are at various stages in the pursuit of health. Offering meetings virtually every Monday evening of the year, groups of friends motivate and support each other. The Lifestyle Team provides instruction and cooking demos, and together, people share ideas, seeking local and online resources. Each week participants are working together to help each other build a well-rounded healthy lifestyle.
As people transition to a whole foods, plant-based diet, it's beneficial to share the journey with other people who are discovering the healing benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Participants will enjoy spending time with people who share their new beliefs about health and are discovering enjoyable social and recreational activities.
Join Any Time!
The meetings are non-sequential, thus people can join any time. This is especially designed to enable doctors and health care professional to refer their patients at the time the plant-based diet is recommended and the patient's interest is piqued.
Affordable for Anyone!
Many patients who need life change can't afford pricey programs, and insurances cover little. Nor can they take time off work for a residential program. With our church-based staff that is largely donating their time, the Plant Powered Community can be joined for as little as $49.00. Thus virtually anyone can attend.
Helping Sick People Get Well
The program's emphasis will be especially focused on helping people with today's chronic, deadly diseases get well. There's a strong probability that almost everyone, by the time they're 50, if they've been enjoying fast foods, restaurants, canned and pre-packaged foods, favorite beverages and desserts, may be overweight with a considerable amount of plaque restricting arterial blood flow. It's never too early or too late to make the changes in diet and lifestyle needed to avoid the heart attack, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, Alzheimers, etc., as the incidence of heart attacks increases, and the beginning of years of debilitating diseases are initiated in the 60's and 70's.
